scoobyjene
Hi all.. .. I have seen a very handsome Giant Gourami by the name of BALDRICK that is at a petstore for sale.. He is available on his own or for an xtra $300 with his tank.. He has been there for a long time and always seems pleased when you go chat to him. I am wanting to purchase this guy but am wondering how the heck would you transport such a huge guy? some of you on here may know what store i am talking about.. but hands off. I WANT HIM. lol
Modern Angl
I know Baldrick, I hope you've got a *really* big tank for him A very very large poly box, a couple of folk to carry it and a van would be my suggestion.
scoobyjene
choice. what is yr opinion of the tank that he;s currently in?? he's choice eh??
Billaney
Hi Scoobyjene Baldrick is awesome I'd miss him but if you can give him a good home I'm sure he will be happyer than where he is , He is a real people fish
Modern Angl
That tank he is in atm is far too small, he has little or no space to swim around and he can only just turn. I'd stick him in a tank at least 6ft, gives him some space to swim about.
Billaney
I totally agree MA

Billaney
yes i'd say he was fine its also a neat fish but his tank IS big enough , he's also got a few smaller mates in there to play with
scoobyjene
yeh he;s a choice looking dude too.. lol... what u guys think of this tank on t/m?? looks ok but not high enough.. or wide enough for BALDRICK..? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Home-living/Pe ... 802698.htm
Billaney
not wide or deep enough , and i'd say make sure at least 10mm glass all round and well braced , a flick of his tail could do some real damage.

Ira
Feed him small children. You can collect them at any school around 8 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. Feed them whole and live or diced. Hehe, You can feed them just about anything, I think, they like strawberries and grapes I've heard.

Joze
SJ you are welcome to look at my setup if you want. You can feed them anything, the kids tease mine with the pet rat, she loves small children, cats, insects, lettuce, cat biscuits, fresh krill. You can pretty much feed them anything. I also have a 100l bin with lid which is good for transporting.

Joze
hehe, let me know when. I am doing a water change at the moment so she will most likely sulk. They do have personalities and they love company doesnt matter on the type. Although they are large, they are great to keep and worth the effort. I wouldnt mind getting another one, but things are up in the air as to where we will be over the next few years.
