livingart
You will probably move the algae with it as even the water may carry spores

fishgirl53
Has anyone used nutfafin cycle to cycle their tanks if so is it any good its expensive for a tank and sump of around 750ltrs
Pennyleigh17
Once you've got black beard algae it's almost impossible to remove. I would suggest starting new and with fresh water. When transfering the fish avoid putting any of the water from your old tank to your new one.And for using cycle, I've used it with great results. While it did seem to speed the cycle process along I can't say if it was the product or just the way my tank naturaly cycled but I would definitely recommend it and I'd use it again. For a tank the size of yours I'd suggest saving the money on buying nutrifin cycle and let your tank cycle naturally as long as you've got A LOT of patience.
