flymike
Hi Guys, I'm Mike, living in Albany, Auckland Had an option for a cheep (scratched) AR980 a few months back, so I thought id have a go with a few Malawi Cichlids. I'm very much in to the tech side of things, and am always looking at ways to make things look tidier, easier to work with and work more effectively. Currently working in sports Irrigation (golf, bowls, sports fields etc) design, import & distribution, I have contacts to get almost anything I want to do with water through suppliers for my diy projects. My current main set up includes -AR980, running original filter -CF1200 canister -Weipro MX10/22 300w heater, in a custom external inline tube + 2 smaller tanks. 28l & 54l, which I'm growing out a few fry in. I've brought most of my fish off people who belong to this forum, and they have all been very helpful and more than happy to share info. Fish-main tank. 4x Electric Yellow Labs (+ my first 5 fry the other day ) 2x Aroura male juveniles (not to sure on these yet) 7x Blue zebra juveniles (to be thinned down to a 4 when they are easier to sex) 4x random zebra crosses (soon to be removed and sold off, I think) Fish-smaller tanks. 2x Peach zebra (soon to be sold off) 5x sp. taiwan reef On my to get list. P.Demasoni OB Peacock Al.Jacobfreibergi Peacock Thanks Mike

ryanjury
Hi and welcome, Do you have any plans for a tank upgrade any time soon? Zebras will quite quickly outgrow that small tank.. If you need any demasoni I have plenty of fry for sale at the moment and I am pretty close to you.

flymike
Havivg trouble getting all the fish to stand still at the same time. Any tips?? :bggrn: The 3 lamps in the tank are pretty run down. When the algae started to grow I was freaking out a bit, but I do kind of like the look, or I've forgotten how clean it looked before. Thanks Guys. Mike

But Ill be keen on some P.Demasoni soonish. Always have plans for bigger and better tanks, But I also have a wife, saying that I have been looking at a few big tanks on tm, the bigger ones seam to go for an alright price, guess there a bit to big for the majority. Thanks Mike

NoFishing
What an awesome scene you have created. Love it. :cophot: BTW if you did want to get rid of the algae off your rocks and the silk plants, just soak them in really hot water for a few minutes then a quick scrub. No chemicals required.
