RnB
I am trying to organise a Tank Crawl in Auckland. Much like the proverbial Pub crawl, we will try and visit 6 or 7 tanks over a 4 hour period. I need tanks that people are willing to put on display... Please PM me if you are interested.... I will not publish any deatils until its all lined up and you confirm availability etc.... It would be on a Sunday afternoon.

Alan
And what is wrong with that Chim????????? An excellent way to get ideas and to meet others on the same wave length. Why not be first and put your hand up. Rnb, watch ya time factors mate; 6 or 7 tanks in four hours is rather an optomistic think. Unless they are in the same street, ya know what I mean?? Having been on "crawls" before, I find the travel time is overlooked. At 6 tanks you are only looking at 40 minutes per tank. Also, hopefully you do, make sure everyone has a road map and location of the tanks to be visited and in what order. Another problem is the amount of use the toilets can get when twenty plus people turn up in an urgent need. A few crossed legs have been spottedby me at some of the crawls. Doing a tank crawl in Auck. doesn't come near doing a crawl in Morrinsville. All those trafic lights and cars, and cars, and did I mention the cars?? Warren
Will there be beer in the tanks? (as it's much like a pub crawl...)
RnB
No but there will be a hot spa and BBQ at the end tank at my place....... Will have to tidy my room.... yeah time will be an issue..... But I have a plan......
chimera
And what is wrong with that Chim????????? Where in "now I've heard it all!!!!!" did you get "that is a crap idea" from Alan? I basically find it amusing, never said it wasnt a bad idea! I'm keen - but for going along, not viewing my tank as there is not much to see yet unfortunately. In 3 months time, yes! RnB
Mine is definitly in the nothing special category........ if you can read between the lines this is a social event... not a whos got a bigger tank event the more we meet, the less we will argue online........ so cuuning you could call it a weasil. Caryl
Have you not heard of tank crawls before Chimera? Our club has an annual one. They are great fun and a good way to get ideas and meet fellow enthusiasts.

Pies
Great idea RnB. Chimera, you should get your tank it, be cool for people to see it 'before and after' sort of think. Seeing the setup before its all finished and dressed and tidied will give an appreciation of how much work is acutally involved.
