So fish prices have to reflect what everything else cost. big reason why fish are expensive is because of MAF(MPI) , they charge like a wounded bull, which impacts the end price. I for example wouldn't consider a $20 fancy guppy to be expensive, but I would consider a neon tetra or a common bristlenose selling for $20 to be expensive. Again perceived value.
