Adrienne Posted April 13, 2013 Report Share Posted April 13, 2013 I would tend to go 8 x double T5HO units (3ft) if you are planting it and it is deeper than about 35cm. I am assuming it has multiple braces across the top which you could place lights on. You are talking about ballasts - I think the biggest available is for 54watts which equate to a 4ft light tube. smidey Posted April 13, 2013 Report Share Posted April 13, 2013 for my 2.0m tank i use two 3 foot light hoods, they aren't quite the same length as the tank but they are close enough to light it evenly and i think it will be the same if it was another 100mm longer.
