Tread50
That second picture of the Aro is awesome really brought out the green colouration. Is it the same fish?
boban_nz
No it is not the same fish. The first one is a small 10 cm arowana and the second one is about 20 cm in length.

Totara
Those pictures are incredible! I have a DSLR camera, but I can never get a clear shot. How do you do it? Is it because my tank is in a dark room? Will
boban_nz
Photography -> Drawing with light No light no drawing I have a standard three foot fish tank with 2 x18 w daylight plus 2 x 55 w compact 10000 K light. The lens I am using is a Canon EF 100mm F2.8 L IS USM Macro. If I want to take a photo of the whole fish tank I will use a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM or Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 L USM L. I am always holding my camera in free hand, minimum working distance is 150 mm but I shoot from about 300 - 500 mm. That is the beauty of using a true macro lens. David R
Having the room dark is a big advantage IMO, you just need sufficient light on the aquarium, either from the aquarium lights or an external flash set up above the tank.
