aquadude
I have read or heard that you can have a bristlenose in a cold water tank with goldfish . Right now reading the new digital thermometer on the goldfish tank. now there is no heater in the tank , but the temperature ranges from 25.4 to 25.7 Is this temperature ok for a bristlenose / pleco? That's tropical temps, not coldwater. Thats perfect for them.

livingart
will your tank always be at that temperature?
aquadude
with summer temperatures the way they are - things may drop in temperature in winter - then I will keep an eye on the DIGITAL thermometer
rockgurl89
I had goldfish in an unheated tank, added a bristlenose in summer and it was fine as the temp stayed above 18 degress, but once it got colder and it dropped below 18 he did not last very long (stupid lady at the shop told me he would be fine  , I now know better!) aquadude
I have told in winter to have the heater between 18 to 22 - good for goldfish and good for bristlenose
F15hguy
ummm is this for the 38L tank????
aquadude
this is for my current set up tank of the size of 35 litre. Has three goldfish, two small snails and wanting to put a small bristlenose or two
Godly3vil
35ltr is not really big enough for those fish mate, all of them will quickly outgrow it.
Caryl
I wouldn't put 3 goldfish in anything smaller than 120L.
aquadude
please note that these three goldfish are quite small. Thanks for the advice folks
Caryl
That's good but they will grow and quite quickly
