purplex
I've seen some for sale, but from memory, they need to be a certain age or length first? Can someone please enlighten me? I don't like the idea of someone selling 'babies' when they shouldn't be...
livingart
you can sell them at any age if you want to only buy really young ones if you know what your doing and have enough live food for them
purplex
But a few weeks after being hatched? Isn't that a bit young? Like the poor thing has only laid them today, and the woman reckons that they'll be able to be picked up in a months time?
livingart
easy enough to raise if you know what your doing
purplex
But it's not for me... she's selling to people that are having to ask what they will need to have one... But ok, if they can be sold that young, then so be it... I pity the poor things going to homes where they have no idea though

livingart
applies to children as well :slfg: sorry purplex you can't do much about it hopefully they hand out good care instructions as well as heaps of live food
aotealotl
purplex as far as I know there is no law but it is not recommended to sell (or buy) or transport them when they are smaller than 10cm. it is too much stress for them and many do not survive very long. livingart
have transported very young no problems
alanmin4304
I would think that far more would be lost by not feeding properly and them eating each other than in transporting them if they were packed well.
purplex
She's selling locally, and I can stop her from selling on my page, but if there was some 'official' recommendation about selling size or age that I could use to back me up it would've been easier...
