Sheepsnana
Gotta love the scarlet (L025) Pleco. However, this would go in my main tank if I ever found one.

F15hguy
dunno if any are around, last time I saw them was in Aussie, 3 months before I returned, so I had to pass them up then they are quite small fish, (max 2.5cm) so only need a nano tank of around 20-40L to breed in

Aaron-Betta
If I had a "spare tank" it would be a planted 27L with nigripinnis Or planted King Killi tank
Sheepsnana
Possibly a festae. For the colour or the aggression?
Ira
For the colour or the aggression? Aggression is irrelevant if it's just going in a spare tank alone.
Godly3vil
Zebra Plecos.

No-one said it had to be alone.

David R
I'd go for a blackwater set up with low current, plenty of tangled driftwood with 6 of these and 4 of these and 6-10 of these of course this spare tank would be 1000L+ and well filtered.... 8) *edit* and of course a couple of these.... Sheepsnana
Are the rays more interesting because you can't have them?
David R
All of those fish are more interesting because I can't have them.
Godly3vil
What type of cichlid is the 1st one david? Kind of looks like a keyhole but with nicer marking/colour.

Hali
Oh I do have one spare tank ~100lt.. I was thinking either, some sort of planted puffer set up, or was getting a bit interested in the whole native thing. Will be watching this thread closely. Or swap the bedroom ~60lt display into the 100 and making the 60 a dwarf puffer land? BUT if I had one spare tank, of unrestricted size, with adequate filtration etc etc... A spotted Gar would float my boat, tickle my fancy, blow some decent wind through my hair.... http://www.flickr.com/photos/noaa_glerl/4045941533/
