Ira Posted June 23, 2012 Report Share Posted June 23, 2012 You put it in the water. You plug it in. It blows water out the front. Not particularly hard to use. Just aim it where you want some water moving. Looks like you're missing some bits though, to use it as a powerhead you'll want some suction cups to stick it to the side of the tank, it should have come with a fitting that slots into the back that the suction cups mount to. twinkles Posted June 24, 2012 Report Share Posted June 24, 2012 If it doesn't come apart, attach filter wool/sponge etc to the intake bottom part with a rubber band, then sit it on the gravel or wedge it in place with wood if it has no suction cups. It has filter wool inside so must be able to pull apart - I'll have another look next weekend and see if I can try it out in a tank. Or get your fingernails into the seam between the halves and pry it apart I have a few of the smaller versions of that, or very similar looking anyway.
