Vinnie
Going for a bit of a road trip, leaving on monday morning to go south and have no plans what so ever apart for having to be in Christchurch by friday evening. Any one got any recommendations on places to stop? Any clubs having their meetings this week as it would be cool to stop by some of the other clubs? Thanks

Caryl
We won't be having a meeting but you are welcome to stay here (got 2 spare rooms and beds) and I can take you to visit a few members' homes. Nothing spectacular by way of tanks though you can have a cuppa by my pond  Go down the Kaikoura coast and stop to see the baby seals at the Ohau waterfall http://www.trampingtracks.co.nz/Ohau-Waterfall-Walk.html You could turn off at Kaikoura and head to Hanmer or go over to the west coast (always worth a visit and totally different to the rest of the country) via the Lewis Pass then back to ChCh through Arthur's Pass. Vinnie
Hanmer springs is all ready on the list. Thanks for the offer Caryl but I have family in and just out of Blenheim so I'll be expected to stay there. Would be keen to meet up with the local club members though. Will flick you a pm once we know our plan, but I think Nelson is our first stop - family there as well
Caryl
Sure thing. Just keep us informed and we will see what we can do. I have one club member who lives next door and the rest are not too far apart for most to attend an impromptu meeting, or cuppa.

Vinnie
Well so far we have gone from Motueka to Hammer, going to enjoy the hot pools this morning. Will probably turn around and carry on heading south on the west coast for today
