Aaron-Betta
Hi all, I was out catching daphnia at my friends farm in a trough out the back of his farm and I netted up some moss. I brought it home and chucked it in a tank but I was wondering if it is what it looks like? (xmas moss) Just seems odd for it to have turned up in a trough :dunno:

Li@m
No its not a native spieces. But if the trough got enough sunlight it could get get to a good temp and survive easily.

You're saying Xmas moss needs a good temperature to do well? Mine flourished in a coldwater tank.

maxximuscool
HolyCrap! this is weird. I think I saw that similar submerged plant like moss too at the farm in Hamilton but I didn't know what it was so I threw them away when it came with some daphnia. I'm going to take a trip there today to scoop a few out and see if this is Xmas moss free moss everyone.
