Joe
Hey everyone, I have four old, well-used (probably over-used) T8 floresent tubes here that I want to dispose of. Because they contain mercury and maybe other gas I don't want to just chuck them in the bin or take them to the dump because mercury is toxic. Is there a proper way to dispose of them? Also can they be recycled? Like have the gas drained or something and then it can be used to produce more flouresent tubes? I would prefer this than to just chucking them if it's possible. Thanks, Joe
Caryl
Check with the recycling centre Joe. I think they have a bin for light bulbs.
purplecatfish
Any tubes with green ends can definitely be recycled.

henward
I believe they are best dumped in a local river after you break them :slfg: :digH:
