Caryl
I finds it a bit ironic to have been several days in ChCh with only feeling a couple of very small quakes (I wasn't even sure I felt them since nobody else seemed to notice. Locals are probably immune to anything smaller than a 5) to come home to experience a 5.7 this evening. Luckily it was 60km deep so things wobbled but that's all. livingart
so that's an earthquake i just thought i was getting older and that's why things wobbled :dunno:
Caryl
I meant other things wobbled, not just bits of me
jude
We felt it here quite strongly. Makes you realise what a closer and shallower one could do. I'm still wobbling - but in my case its fright, not age :rotf:

Pretty small one, didn't even wake up the cats.
Squirt
I felt it here as well. Wasn't bad, imagine each time an earthquake gets 1.0 stronger it gets 10x stronger...
blueether
10 x the amplitude, the energy is about 32 x for each whole step in the Richter scale :smln:
