henward Posted October 28, 2011 Author Report Share Posted October 28, 2011 tadpoles... basic care? what is the optimal temperature for them? i put them n the growing tub, and the water was 18 degrees to 19 is this too cold? they seem very inanimate in this temp, i inreased temp to about 21 to 22. in time they tub will go upt o ambient temp of garage which is about 25 ish to 27. They do best in rainwater that is old and full of algae for them to graise on. Fed them on brineshrimp nuplii and microworm along with tropical flake. Im sure lfs or someone will buy frogs for $1 each! i dont care if i sell them for what i got the tads for lol i have fed these frogs to silvers in the past and they loved it. in the wild, jardinii arowana and even in nz, european pike are known to eat these frogs in the wild. im sure they are not toxic. also if we let kids handle them - would they be toxic?
