These questions have gotten past me! im allowed to ask for help its been cleared lol

Which of the following is NOT likely to apply to the dynamics of open populations?

Choose one answer.

a. organisms are highly mobile, often with complex life cycles involving multiple life history stages

b. dispersal between habitat patches is common

c. abundance of a subsequent generation at a site is closely linked to local production of recruits at the site

d. recruitment has a large influence on the population dynamics at local sites

The proponents of a proposal to build a dam argue that reduced flood-related disturbance associated with a more stable flow regime below the dam will enhance salmonid fisheries due to increased prey supplies. What could be the biggest FLAW in their logic:

Choose one answer.

a. disturbance quite often restricts stream productivity

b. a trade-off between vulnerability to predation and vulnerability to disturbance

c. salmonid recruitment is often controlled by flow regime

d. dams alter downstream physic-chemical conditions

Which of the following is likely to be associated with reduced strength of top-down indirect effects from predators to resources:

Choose one answer.

a. a predator that has strong effects on the trophic level below it

b. increased trophic omnivory

c. a non-consumptive interaction between predator and herbivore

d. a primarily detrital-based food web

What native fish species has failed to recolonise the area in the eastern North Island that was covered by ash during the Taupo eruption (186 AD)?

Choose one answer.

a. Cran's bully

b. Longfin eel

c. Inanga

d. Bluegill bully

Survival rates can be highly variable during different stages of a diadromous fish’s life cycle. Which of the following (that influence fish survival) do conservation/fisheries managers have the least control over?

Choose one answer.

a. Availability of egg-laying habitat

b. Survival of larvae at sea

c. Quality of upstream passage for whitebait

d. Quantity of adult habitat

Any help would be great thanks I have a rough idea on some of these but unsure

Choose one answer.

d. Bluegill bully (guess because i don't know the area the question is refering to)

I would go for B as with increased trophic omnivory the effects of a predator indirectly affecting a trophic level it doesnt directly prey upon would be reduced
