Some new Young Males

dlums

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, yes I bred these myself.

I have a variety of beautiful males and females that I have bred all myself, My main aim is to breed certain strains and gene's.

I have just managed to breed over a few years now some white/pearl platinums, took me a while to get them though.

Thanks again for the feedback.

Regards

J

Hi paige.xo

My Trade Me name is also Dlums. So don't know what your Trade Me is to confirm whether or not you bought from me.

Thanks

John

I went back and had a look and I did buy mine of you. I use my mums account because I am only fourteen...

Hi burn,

Thank you for the kind words, I do take the out most pride in my breeding programs.

Although I might not be part of a club or a frequent member on the forum, I do think that I am part of the more advanced group of betta breeders here in NZ.

I have supplied most of Nz so far with my halfmoon betta's and have had nothing but praise from my packaging to my quality of fish. I do hope that someday I will be recognised some where some how for my dedication and time I have spent on breeding these beautiful fish.

Hats off to all those breeders out there trying to keep this amazing fish in NZ, there are many of us out there that spend thousands of dollars every year trying to improve the quality and gene's of this wonderful fish.

Thanks to everyone.

Regards

J

Wow, so you started your lines basically from scratch. You've done wonders for the quality of bettas in NZ  Its nice seeing carefully bred fish avaliable in NZ

I'm working on a line of pks. Approximately how many generations untill you find you need to introduce new blood?

Sometimes males take a while to accept a female, they have been known to breed sometimes first time or even up to a week or so. it all depends on the maturity of the pair, water temp and enviroment.

I found this little guy amongst some of my bigger males that put a side a few weeks ago.

although very plain, he has the most beautiful pearl sheen to his scales and the brightest electric white markings on most of his finnage.

I will wait a few weeks to see what he turns out like.

Sorry but the pics are not the best as I didnt remove him into my photography tanks for pics.

Thanks :) I've only just done an F2 cross from 2 pk carriers. Father ate his children but i saved 5 I'll try again in a few weeks :nilly:

I'll be keenly following the progress especially that first male. Then, when the time is right I'll be trolling trademe

I like that guy. Did he marble to that colour or was he born pure like that?

I have a few of them this colour, some females as well.

I will have to wait and see in a few weeks if he still holds his colour, I have had in the past similiar in colours that changed drastically after a few weeks, so will wait and see.

Got some more pics coming soon of others.
