Stella
cool! I have a big one up at uni at the moment that was BLACK (looked awesome!) then moulted over the weekend and is now the normal brown colour. (my friend saw it first and was very angry that someone had put a big brown cray in the tank who murdered the black one
Mikey
That is pretty choice! I guess the lesson is to take lots of photos at different times so you get to see them at their different colourations. Nice photo BTW
Galaxiid
I had one that routinely had blue armpits. Maybe I should get myself one of these

blueether
Anyone have some blue ones they'd like to share? Would love to see a big one .... blueether
Got the torch out and had a look for her, and she is still quite blue. She has a score on her carapace before the molt, it will be interesting to see if it is still there - the only problem is she is nearly never out while the lights are on
Rabbit
Yabbies in Australia change colour to the water, most will come out of a dam black or brown but after a few moults will become bright blue.

F15hguy
I have an extremely bright red/orange coloured juvenile at home atm stayed red in the transfer from river to low light tank (it has no lighting itself but gets a bit from the tank next to it), i'm gonna keep an eye on him as he ages and see if he changes. i'll post a couple of pics when he decides to be a bit more photogenic. blueether
I was wondering if higher nitrates could have an effect on the blue, as it seems quite common for them to get at least some blue when in home aquaria. I saw mine today and she still has the sore
