Carlos & Siran
Goin fishing this morning, out of Whangaroa, first time in years and I get terribly seasick, am siting here at 6am popping sea sick tabs like lollies and trying not to think about it. On the other hand Whangaroa is absolutely beautiful and the guy I'm going with will give me a hell if I puke so I refuse to give him the chance. Here's hoping for snapper for tea tonight. Caryl
If you take too many sea sick pills I fear you will just fall asleep and miss out on the fishing! I get sea sick sitting on the foreshore (I also threw up at the pictures once after seeing an inflatable zipping out to rescue the passengers from a crashed plane in the sea. One of the Airplane films I think, probably the original one) so you have my sympathies :-?
Ira
Whatever you do, don't blow chunks in the boat! Do it overboard!

Carlos & Siran
Well it was a good day for geeks, not so good for the Whanau. Caught 5 under size kingies (my first kingies...yay) a leather jacket, a granddaddy hapuka, 3 perch, 2 Kahawai, heaps off under size snapper, and a moray eel...twice. My mate thought I was weird because I was flipping out every time we caught a new species. Anyway, It wasn't a total loss, we got a Kahawai each......over all an expensive day...but at least I got away from the farm. I did have a puke once, but I've found if you don't dwell on it and get on with the fishing you're fine. PS, I was thinking of you LA when we caught the leather jacket, thought it would make a nice addition to your native marine tank, he was only a little guy..awesome fish!
