Zev
It is blowing a gale here at the moment, forecast 130 - 160kmph gusts and rather warm - it is like standing in front of the hairdryer on medium, the cats are looking squinty and rather annoyed at the wind, but still follow you around outside, just in case they miss out on something. Sophia
Raining in Auckland. I am isolated in my house due to crap outdoor design that causes flooding outside all external entry doors  luckily I still have a few big pieces of toblerone to keep me occupied :bounce:
Zev
Mmmmmm.... chocolate..... It is now raining heavily in conjunction with the gale force winds - so semi horizontal rain. Dammit, I should have gone to the supermarket earlier...
Neon
We had family staying here in Nelson who had to get the ferry across to Wellington this afternoon.... they had to go the through the St Arnaud way too. Turns out the ferry might not be going anyway :-? It's a nice day here in Upper Moutere now .... checked the river and it's hardly up at all. Caryl
If they are stuck for accommodation if the ferry is cancelled, neon, tell them to give me a call. I can PM you my number if required. Friend in Koromiko (just outside of Picton) had a large steel garage roller door blown in by the wind. Neon
Thanks Caryl! I think they'll be ok for accomodation. I have to leave now to catch my flight back to Auckland.... :-?
smidey
i'm having a great time, it's been raining heavily here so that's great for the drought & water tanks. In that rain today i went fishing & had snapper for lunch & i just got back from a very wet round of golf with a 74 off the stick. may it rain alot more with results like that!
