Fishie123
Hello. My girlfriend did a water change Wednesday and forgot to mention to me that she think she buried one of the cory. I dont know if it true as i tried moving the sand around. But we short of 1 cory though. After looking for 5min. I got worried that the body might rot and become toxic and might harm my discus. I don't know if it true. But i really need some advice? :tears: :tears: :tears: :tears:

phoenix44
If a relatively small - normal sized fish ever dies in my tank; I don't bother removing it. Circle of life and all.
henward
yeah, i have had clown loaches get crushed by rocks, you learn to position rocks to stabalise them from digging. if you canf ind ti tahts optimal of course, but if your filtration si reasonable, no big deal. henward
a rock teh size of your fist can bury a fish that they cant get out. they are heavy, a fish is probalby not even a gram in some cases, a small clown loach is so small and light, a reasonable sized stone will crush and trap them
Fishie123
Will the body rot and pollute the water?
Joshlikesfish
Will the body rot and pollute the water? How big is the tank? The fish decaying wont be that bad
henward
yes it will BUT if your filter is up to it, should not be too bad, its a small fish a large fish dying will cause havoc in the system. but if your filtration is strong enough, youw ont even notice it. Fishie123
The tank is about 224L and 2 filter canister. One pumps 400L P/H Aqua 1200, and the other Aqua 700 and also have a small internal filter.
