dcase Posted December 17, 2010 Report Share Posted December 17, 2010 I love the Renas to, especially the fact you can hook it up to the filter intake and it heats he water passing thru into the filter and then the filter outlet does the work of dispersing the warmer water. Joshlikesfish Posted December 17, 2010 Report Share Posted December 17, 2010 i just realised i actually own a jager! i've had a large heater for a few years that came with a complete set up. its 300w so really big, it wouldn't have fitted in the tank i needed to buy a heater for today. it would fit in my main tank though if the jebo fails. would anyone be able to explain the temperature setting on it please? it has numbers 1-9. That's what you have to do with just about all heaters, they just didn't BS people that the temperature on the side is anything other than an extremely vague approximation. Cheap but i have never had one fail that i personally bought brand new myself. cheapest i would go is aqua one. best value for money but jagers are good. also they keep temps tighter - thermostats are better than cheaper chinese ones. Jager, go jager. dependso n the type of fish you keep. cost of them etc. you gotta protect live stock. I use only Jager now, the thermostat is very tight.
