Neon
Hey, I was wondering if these "red danios" for sale on trademe might be offspring from the GM danios that came in a few years back: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=328568798 If they are - are they illegal to own/sell? phoenix44
they do get some red on them occasionally. it could be the work of an overzealous photoshopper, but it looks normal to me. see how it has all its bands?
repto
just full of eggs by the look of it to me?
alanmin4304
I think the gm red gene is in pairs so the real red ones have two genes and the less red ones look a bit like the picture. A black light would show it up better. If they are, the seller is a bit naive to say the least.

alanmin4304
I think some people crossed them to normals and long finned normals and by doing that you can end up with the single gene as well as some that look normal. Some were crossed to leopards as well but I think they are sterile. I am sure there are still a few gms floating about but a bit risky if you get the visit from the man.
