puttputt
Not quite sure what major algae, as opposed to minor algae?? Anyway, phos remover is not needed at this stage, however, when you need it aquamedic make the best around, without the ridiculous deltec price. Give me a yell when you need some. reef
Be care of product pushing and advise aimed at "getting at other people". Give me a call when you need some DELTEC po4 remover to try.
Morcs
Now Now guys, advice is appreciated on all sides, and im not one to be sold on product - Plus i have access to wholesale prices for some stuff, so will use the brands that I can get cheaper where i can; I will order some Seachem Phos-gard next week, so thatll go in the filter in about a fortnight. Went and upgraded the skimmer today. The guys at HFF MtRoskill had a Dymax XP-30 in stock, rated to 200L, bought it on the spot Good time for it to break in eh. Anyone know what the little polyp thing is in the bottom pic?
reef
Aluminum should be ok however with corals as it is toxic. http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/july2003/chem.htm Iron po4 removers are considered safer.

reef
Randy has more info on aluminum products. I tend to stay away from Aluminum products for reef tanks. Might be ok if you don't have expensive corals, not worth the risk More updated info http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=16780443

reef
They say effects are generally reversible if you stop the Phosguard Seachem make good products except for the phosquard which may cause some issues with corals. I use the reef salt which i found good, the new salt should be out soon .
Morcs
Pictoral update. Picked up one of the small Ocellaris from HFF yesterday. Will get another on monday. Skimmer is pulling some skim. Algae is crazy. Reduced lighting to 5 hours a day for a while. Waiting on my properly sized lid and phosphate removers.

Morcs
fish already? That was soon! love the tank though. Looks incredibly familiar for some reason.. Yeah, my ammonia and nitrate readings had been low for some time - hard to tell if 0 or just above. HFF tested my water also and said its pretty good to go. Will be getting another baby clown and leaving it for a few weeks. Then its a trip to wonderworld

Morcs
there is no 3ft! it all got transferred into a bigger tank (again!) Looking crystal clear. running purigen and phosgard in the filter now. diatom algae is subsiding. Stocking is currently a pair of tiny ocellaris and a skunk cleaner shrimp. Brennos
What's the dimensions of that tank? and what gear do you have to make it all go (pumps skimmers etc) how much would that cost the average joe to setup? I want something similar to that only with some corals. Sorry if it's all been posted, but it's not clear to me if it has
