phoenix44
My flatmate decided to play with some of the setting on his SLR. First 2 were taken with 30 second exposures; and I took the last one on my point and shoot. The lights are 1x marine glo T8 and 1x plant pro T8. the-obstacle
do you run the marine glo at night for a moon effect or just for a bit of flash lighting?
phoenix44
It's only for flowering response on some plants, and the 2T8s together for when I want to look at the tank at night. It's the first time in months that I've used the lights.
phoenix44
Added 4 Dwarf gouramis today. 2 cobalt blue, and 2 red flame. FTS- I can't wait for the needle leaf fern to come through from the base of the wood.

phoenix44
Thanks. I spent the best of 30 minutes contemplating buying them. Then went to play with the puppies to think over it; then went back and thought some more and finally got 4 home. I got them instead of another 10 cardinals, so my cardinals will have to wait a little longer.

amtiskaw
Hi, just read this thread from start to finish. 8) seeing your tank evolve. I'm about to go CO2 and planted, and was wondering what's the long thin plant at back left?
phoenix44
That is a type of straight Val that is illegal to propagate and/or? sell. Ech. Uruguaensis can be used to a similar effect in a larger tank.

Sophia
while I liked the discus, it looks more in proportion or of a better scale without them I think
phoenix44
while I liked the discus, it looks more in proportion or of a better scale without them I think Yes! My thoughts exactly! Even the flatmates agreed. Problem is that I am so attached to those fish that I can't just put them somewhere else. I still want to own the fish, but yet not set up another tank to keep them. But then again the tank looks much better without them (although in that pic they are in the tank, but I had just finished a cold WC this morning). :dunno:
Sophia
got room for another tank just for the discus ?
