Thanks! :D

Those new fluval CO2 kits are a bit blingy for my liking, and are lacking in substance IMO. I'd want a cannister to be more than 88gm personally.

Diffusers seem fine. ADA ones are good as are the GLA ones - cost a bomb though.

For pressurised systems the Rhinox range are pretty good value for money, and really good.

Today I went to do some stuff and landed up at the LFS   . Saw some spotted head-standers and now I want to add 6 of them in here. Very tempting!

Apart from that I trimmed and replanted some stalks and added loads of ferts to the tank, and now the discus want to breed.

Cories bred as I added the new water to the tank :happy2:

That means that the hypans get to eat some fresh eggs! :dunno:

  • 2 weeks later...

Only just got the nitrate yesterday. So will start dosing it this week. I'm just afraid that the plants will outgrow the tank (particularly that sword plant).

After adding my trace I no longer get that green algae on the front of the glass that grows when the tank basks in morning sunlight.

Flourish comprehensive has a small amount of nitrates in it, and phosphates - so that is probably why your green algae is going.
