Gannet Posted March 5, 2010 Report Share Posted March 5, 2010 i know the lady that sold it, even got to see it a few times, ended up being brought buy a guy in Hamilton he put it into a tank unheated and it went into hibernation and that was the last i herd, not sure if it came out of hibernation or not. he also cut a toe off it and sent it germany for dna testing Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

What did he hope to achieve by getting a dna test done do you know? Aurea seem to handle cooler temps but im not sure how cold just yet. alanmin4304 Posted March 5, 2010 Report Share Posted March 5, 2010 I think a few people thought the albinos would brumate outside like the normals but only the normals came out of brumation. Was thinking maybe the southerns simply eat the aurea but dont survive up north in the heat therefore aurea survive. Still possible they dominate more so at lower temps.
