Neon
My cat usually ignores my fish tanks, but tonight she decided to drink out of one of them while I had the lid off. I think the guppies thought they were going to get fed.

SamH
Does your cat hallucinate and attack your tanks when the lights are off?

Zev
I'm with Mel on the tail pic. Is it getting cold up there? - Our cat is always on top of the tank when it is chilly sucking the heat out of the lights.

Caryl
Misty used to climb under the lid and sleep next to the lights where it was warm. The only time she took interest in the fish was when we had a pictus cat. I think the silver attracted her attention...

Neon
yeah the tail pic cracked me up especially. Her name is Cody. it's kind of a dumb name as everyone thinks she's a boy which for some silly reason I get annoyed about! it's definitely not cold up here - it's warm and humid. yuck! Thanks re the plants Phoenix. Unfortunately they have BBA on them but I've recently started dosing excel so I hope that will help.

I think Cody is a great name for a female cat. I like names that are different, not your usual Fluffy or Smokey etc.
darkfur
I used to have a cat that liked to sleep on top of the 4ft turtle tank (cosy). One day he came in as I was cleaning it and had the lids off and before I could do anything he jumped up like he would normally do and landed knee deep in the water! Poor cat completely freaked out and just stood there in mortification until I lifted him out

smidey
something about these boys & their fish? he used to spend alot of time when he was young watching them but not so much now. this is a common site in winter, the hood is aluminium so warms up from the lights. Zev
Well, you guys will put chairs and stools in front of your tanks for the cats to sit and oogle on - don't say they are there for humans, either
