alanmin4304
It would be great but who would admit to having secret squirels?

Charlie
That club you are talking about ...isnt it called the New Zealand Herptological Society? yea but it doesnt really cater for exotics does it??? also didnt think about that aspect of theft... but could be useful for more commons such as dragons/turtles??? until the exotics become established... sort of like how the NZKC is set-out? Navarre
Ah yes but NZKC doesnt stop theft either and NZHS discussed opening the data base for exotics at last meeting And NZreptiles is a free discussion room for exotics and natives and many NZHS members keep both So my point is if all the energy that goes into establishing a new club went into the NZHS section for exotics wouldnt that be great for a club that is established, working, preserving our great natives as well as extoics and already has the departmental/ministerial ear? But maybe I am wrong....waggles fingers

broms2
not sure how many here are members of the NZHS but from the last conference I was at it seems it is split on wether to embrace exotics or concentrate solely on natives, depending on the upcoming results of the conference there may be room for an exotic "society", I would say though that if exotics are accepted into the current society there wouldn't really be a need for another. Good luck with a "list" of who has what.
