jamosfish
Who out there has got an L14? What are it's fav foods? I have had these before and have kept them for a long time, I'm just curious what other people feed them and what they have found that these guys like. Thanks
kiwiplymouth
The staple diet for mine is shrimp pallets, trout pallets, pleco disks and zucchini
skippy_49nz
Snails seem to make up the bulk of their diet if they are available. They eat these before touching anything else fed to them.
firenzenz
never had one though friend did and reckoned it was complete omnivore and even saw it grazing on wood in that it left track marks in it
flatfish
I have had two for a few months. I feed them on carnivore tablets, shrimp pellets, algae wafers, and zuchini, and the odd feed of shrimps and bloodworms. I'm also trying them on frozen mussels and fish (salmon) at the moment. They also seem to love eating snails as there are very few remaining in the tank. One hasn't grown much since I've had it and the other has grown 2 cm in 3 months and is territorial. Maybe a girl and a boy

Zev
Ok, silly question time - why do they have nostrils? Do any other type of fish have them?
livingart
i think fish have nares not nostrils though they resemble them, not for breathing but to smell smell odours in the water
