Hawkes Bay aquarium getting massive coral collection

I read about this in the paper some guy in Invercargill is donating his massive coral collection worth $10000 to the aquarium - they'd better not kill it :wink:

yes I am jealous of a guy with a decent car's worth of money to spend on coral!

It's the National Aquarium of New Zealand.

And don't worry Phoenix, they won't be going in the current tanks.

Thank god. I was not at all impressed to see tanks with no corals in them :lol: and that poor clown pressing himself up against the glass to hide :o . I would even have gone and bought an anemone for him. every clown must have an anemone :D

oh good.

At least this tank is not like 7or 8 feet high!

Looks nice, but hopefully they will put some more fish in there after a few months.

That's what happens when someone who knows nothing about tropical marines designs an aquarium building, despite the protestations of the staff...

There are actually quite a few fish in there, but they manage to hide pretty well - I think they need a nice big school of blue/green chromis.
