Cleaning silicon

there is no way I am aware of to TOTALLY remove silicone.

Best thing is to mask the glass up when your first putting the tank together.

In the trade we use the stiff back razors to clean up as much as possible

If we spill any, we spray it with soapy water and remover the offending silicone with a silicone spatular then with a soapy/water rag and plenty of water we scrub the area.

The soapy water stops the silicone from sticking to the glass while your wiping it off but you do need plenty of soapy water sprayed on to the area
