Andrew_W Posted February 2, 2009 Report Share Posted February 2, 2009 yes so it is...I did have green beard algae in my other tank, and a double dose of flourish excel clear it...along with most of the fish :oops: I did notice in my bigger tank once I remove my algae eater, I started to get the bearded algae. phoenix44 Posted February 7, 2009 Report Share Posted February 7, 2009 rochelle: take good note of this... do water changes. now and everyday for the next 5 days. flourish if used in excess - or if it causes chemical burning to your fish is about the worst thing that can happen. the fins fraying is the first sign of how terrible the chemical can be if not used in the perfect amount. hopefully your situation does not progress into any thing worse... i myself have lost more than a thousand dollars worth of fish in a single go last year cause of an accidental overdose.
