alanmin4304
There is no doubt in my mind (even though there are not many cells left) that the ammonia produced by two small fish is absolutely equal to the ammonia produced by two small fish

Stella
Thats intense Yeah, it took me a few readings before I fully understood the implications. So what do you guys do if you need a tank in a hurry? Like.... you need to suddenly remove a fish or three into a quarantine or hospital tank, or just to stop them beating up/breeding with someone else? alanmin4304
I have a number of small tanks at the same temperature and when the water needs changing I change the fishto the next tank and then clean and refill the old one. Like that clever Navarre boy says. Its all about balance. Filters, airstones and cycling allow you to increase the loading above the natural balance. Some of my tanks have water and heaters only (but not many fish)
