phoenix44
well that just darn tootin sucks... fill the filter with water instead of self priming it? send the filter to p-north and let me play around with it
phoenix44
oh no wait.. thats a dumb as thing to do.. disregard what i said above - didn't realise that u were siphoning with the filter, thought you were trying to make it work normally... the impeller only pushes the water back up in most filters, gravity pushes water into the filter, try adjusting the height level of the filter.. maybe i should just call it a night and not confuse my self any more? dimebag
I have a cf700 when mine doesnt start i tip it on its side, so the taps are pointing down. this has not failed to make it work for me. once it starts going stand it up slowly to let the bubbles out slowly this has always worked for me also

Adrienne
Get a hose and use it to squirt the water through the intake to get the flow running, then take the hose away - gets a bit messy though as you have to have the intake under the water still as you flush water through. AMAZONIAN
Hi All. Well dixon1990 it seems you have tried everything to get it going:... Sucking, Blowing and Listening.. Consider this: turn off the taps and take the head off the unit. You said you could hear the impeller. I think the shaft may possibly be broken and the impeller is only vibrating and not turning. That happened to me several years ago, and I tried everything in the book as well. Good luck
