Insect Direct
not aloud them as pets but zoos seem to have them so maybe a zoo licence is required?

snake kid
not sure its a zoo liscense I think you can keep a few species (mexican red knee, pig foot and chile rose) with a C.I.T.I.E.S liscense (yes I know heaps about entomology too) by the way I'm a volenter at the museam so I get to play with the tarntulas and look after them as much as I like

Stella
NICE!! I am still frustrated that you couldn't show them to us when we were up last year. There is another trip in the pipeline, so maybe we shall have to visit you again Just out of interest, how does one keep such critters? davidb
Top is Goliath Bird Eater- Not living up to its name and eating a locust instead! Middle is a Mexican red knee, and Bottom is a Chilean Rose. Can be temperamental, and very delicate, need to monitor and adjust Humidity and Temp. Feel free to pop in for a visit Stella, I might even get the geckos or an avondale out for a play. Bit busy at the moment though, have a 7000 word report on community motivations for participatory involvement in wetland restoration projects- have done 2000 words so far and already have 29 references! Somehow have to fit my other lab reports etc in around the side!
