i used to keep seahorses when i was at primary school a long time before i knew what a skimmer or a chiller was . i had them for about 2 yrs had 17 of them and a little skate shrimps a few small estuary fish and a few crabs . the seahorses gave birth probably 30 times (quite cool to watch) however no young ever survived . the first thing they do is go to the surface to fill up their air bladder or something then they grab hold of something normally each other preventing 1s that havent surfaced from doing so killing them they tend to form little rafts which unfortunatly makes it easier for other inhabitants to pick them off. the next thing that tends to kill them is bbs egg shells they choke on these
