Afrikan
Sounds like your shark is being harrased and tail being nibbled or damaged by other one... How big is your tank? I would seperate them before one gets done in.... they are reknown for being quarrelsome..

SpidersWeb
Yeah they do that, and will do it to other fish as well. Love the colour and acitivity, but they're territorial and as they get older, so on my 'do not buy' list along with chinese algae eaters. It helps if you give them areas they can call their own, like a little castle or something that they can sleep in during the day, that way they'll defend this spot rather than the whole tank. The less they see each other the less problems you'll have.
mumzy50
I have two sharks, one rainbow and a albino. They get along fine, and sleep together.I have lots of hiding places, they dont harrase the other fish.I have had these since they were babies, they are now fully grown and so friendly.Maybe if you do put in a few caves and plants they might settle down.Good luck. Afrikan
Try and figure out territory areas... if it doesn't work.. then part them....
jim r
Rainbow sharks are not nearly as aggressive as red tail blacks and like Afrikan said split them up before it is too late. (they will never get along)
