Charlie
can you keep males and females bettas together???
Dixon1990
Yes. They might try to spawn though. But will have heaps of plants, but might have to seperate the male.
Caper
can you keep males and females bettas together From what I read here (don't have any), the females should out number the males, not sure of the ratio if it is like Dixon's 1 male to 3 females. Cheesejawa
Dosent sound over stocked. Maybe up the number of cardinals, bigger numbers are better for the fish and massive cardinal schools look awweeeseome!

Dixon1990
more khulis and will see them more, more cories they always seem happier The number of All the corys, whiptails and cardinals will be increase when they go into the 300L south american. And the kuhlis will be increased once the tank is down to Asian only fish 8)

dwalk
I've got the same tank, with a fluval 205 and these fish in it 5 Dwarf Gourami, 5 Striata Loaches. 5 Tiger Barbs, 4 GBA (young), 1 SAE, 3 BN, 1 Plec, 1 Siamese fighter here's a pic
Dixon1990
What tank of fish would be best to put in first? As each group goes in, the small internal cycled filters will go with them. Group 1 3 female betta Their dad 8 2cm platties 2 neons 1 guppy Group 2/3(Can split them up into 2 groups) 1male 3female BN 3 kuhlis 2 dwarf loaches 2 2cm cory 2 whiptail 6 Cardinals Or should i put the 400lph and the 600lph filters on the new tank and put all fish in after a little while. The CF700 is still semi cycled i think
Slightly Blue Dalmation
personally id put the more expendible tougher fish in eg gupps, platy. then maybe the 2nd lot so they can establish themselves with hiding places etc then would go for the bettas once others settled and all cycled etc
Dixon1990
So... Ive so far put the follwoing fish in the tank. 8 x 2-3cm Platys 1 female guppy(which is really fat and never seen a male guppy in her life :-? ) 2 Neon Tetras 3 3cm Female Bettas 6 Baby Bristlenose aound 1.5-2cm Still got to put in the Adult BN 3 kuhlis 2 dwarf loaches 3 2cm cory 2 whiptail 6 Cardinals PH is 6.8 and temp is 25. Once all the fish are in what would be a good temp to keep it at? And what fish should go in next? I was thinking corys and/or the loaches and/or the whiptails
Cheesejawa
I would say cardinals and adult BN first because they will be the hardiest. Then the corys and finally the whiptails and loaches. Thats how I would do it with maybe a week or two between introducing each fish.
