Varanophile Posted June 4, 2008 Report Share Posted June 4, 2008 In light of the new 'pest proposal' by ARC I am planning a meeting this weekend on Sunday at my place in Mt Albert Auckland at 2pm. Just a chat and some ideas sharing before I try to get a meeting with the ARC. I have quite a few reptiles and frogs that can be seen too, and I'll have some drinks on hand- weekend meeting after all. ARC guy admitted to Ivan at reptile park that they pushed it through to fast...decision not made on anything other than blueys and that can still be revoked. Imagine Joe Bloggs and his 4 blueys, if they breed he will not be putting them in the freezer. His uncle owns a nice bit of bush in the Waitak's and he has never seen any native reptiles there, so what the hey, why not let em go. The exact scenario these guys are trying to stop.
