Dixon1990
Its just that it would suck for the person buying it if they are a beginner and want a pictus.

Casper
hehe yeah simions was on topic, there barbs get caught in the nets then you have to cut the net and remove the barb from the fish to get them untangled
firenzenz
best kept in schools, playful and fun to watch unless you are small enough to be dinner. No report of breeding in captivity. Have you thought about cuckoo syno's
Casper
yeah i had considered different types, but have bread a few different fish so why not try something on the hard side i see that most sights say "not bread in aquaria" yet some think they have... hrm
Dixon1990
Get a group of them and try to simulate their natural habitat, and go from there, Research, although you may not find something, just try different things like Could be during a rainy season,a time where there is Not much water? Dixon1990
The problem with hat i said is that there sitn even any info on The Weather and water of where they come from :-? So maybe your best bet is just put them in a large tank and wait to see if anything ever happens?lol
Casper
yeah i think tats about all i can do, trying different water conditions and see what they like better, now ive read that they like Low water pressure, how do i go about doing that? just have a tank thats really wide and short? (my theory being the less height to the tank the less water there is pressing down on the water below it making the pressure lower?)
shadowfax
you need to make sure they all have a cave or hiding place of their own once they grow abit. they enjoy each others company when little but get annoyed with each other when they get bigger. ive found they dont go to the surface for food like suggested in some sites & they can fit enough in their mouths in one sitting to last them several days. keep an eye out for whitespot, which is hard to see on them but if you keep them in a big enough tank & clean water with plenty of room to themselves they will grow in no time.
