David R
My sister keeps hers with corys and kuhlii loaches. How big is the tank?
michael.qian
neon tetras, cardinal tetras. basically fish that don't resemble them or nip their fins. I keep mine with the following listed below and they all get along fine.
Slightly Blue Dalmation
probably depends a bit on how big the tank is a bit. ive got a male and a female in a 40L tank, they have a go at each other but they have somewhere to hide so its fine. Any not nippy fish are fine i have a few neons and emerald eye rasboras with no hastles at all
danilada
Its only about 15L
Tsarmina
in that size, maybe a BN or 2, but thats about it.
ashbo
just wondering how much you are getting him for, as im wanting to get one but haven't seen any for ages... and the only ones i have seen are way too expensive
danilada
About $30
ashbo
thats not to bad from a breeder cause the ones i have seen have been about 25 and have got lots of nips in there fins.

danilada
I think maybe a bristlenose or 2 from Tsarmina Do males get lonely without any companionship?
je_suis_ketan
I have my SF with one female, Neons, Emerald eyes, Pearl Gourami, Clown Loaches and a couple of Pleco's. They all seem to get alone fine. Mind you, my tank is a bit bigger than yours lol. I would go with a female and maybe some smaller fish like the emerald eyes. firefish
I have a 50 litre tank with 5 glass bloodfins and 1 male betta (and some catfish too) It all is working well, the betta sticks to his side of the tank and the glass bloodfins stay to their side too
cichlidmad
just remember when decorating the tank that they breathe air so dont put powerfull filters or have any decorations too close together if they get stuck they will drown ha what a larf fish drowning its happened to me back in ausie a few times when i first got into betas i would sugest you try and get a few fems from the breeder same colour and all whoever developed the whie colour in them worked really hard to get that colour it would be a shame for it to be lost due to poor choice in breeding parteners and the fems should be smaller too the male will find it hard to wrap a fem that is larger than him hth chris
