Barrie
Although I have boiled my mops for about 15 minutes and soaked them over night, I find that the dye comes out when in the tanks for a week or so. Is there a brand of woll that is better than others or as it seems to do not harm, should I just ignor the water colouration?
Alan
You don't use wool Barrie. You use acrylic. Wool rots.
alanmin4304
I use dark coloured acrylic and small fishing net floats as they are easy to sterilize and see any eggs on.
Wok
I get my acrylic wool from the warehouse. my killies seem to prefer dark green instead of black
Whiskas
I get some of that feather type acrylic wool from either the Warehouse or 2 dollar shop. Because it has the main bit of wool and then the strands coming out it creates a really nice flowy looking mop. It is very easy to go through to spot the eggs. There are a couple of different feather-type wool and i find the one that is less fluffy and more cord-like is best (hard to explain the one i mean). Best of luck

Barrie
Maybe a new strain of Blue Lineatus? or blue Australe?
alanmin4304
You don't need to boil them till they nearly disolve. I just chuck them in briefly when I am boiling water with peat.
