April 13, 200719 yr comment_156361 are they too small to be sold?? they are looking pretty tiny!!! Report
April 13, 200719 yr comment_156366 I don't see any problem. some one might have the space to raise them all but never bothered to try breeding themselves. I have sold a whole spawn of 4 week old gold severum fry to a guy before. All he wanted to do was enjoy the process of raising the fry. And he really likes severum! Try to remember folks! There is no real right or wrong way of doing things when it comes to keeping fish. Try not to get too picky about minor details! The only time i would really worry is if i see a clear and extreme case of abuse. Report
April 13, 200719 yr comment_156368 i didnt really have a problem but i just thought they were small i have brought little baby fry before an it was great to see them grow so fast. Report
April 13, 200719 yr Author comment_156370 not so much the size but that a large proportion will end up being nymphs. Report
April 13, 200719 yr comment_156424 not so much the size but that a large proportion will end up being nymphs. i would say probably all of them will be, look closely at the picture i can hardly see any double tail and the ones that may be dont look like a very good spread and split. also for 5-1/5 week old goldfish fry they are very very tiny. April 13, 200719 yr Author comment_156429 I totally agree - I dont have a problem with selling fry but I do with not representing them accurately. Report
April 13, 200719 yr comment_156430 Could be a good cheap and enjoyable way of getting some fish.. However with goldfish you could get ripped off and get a whole heap of nymphs.. I have stripped week old fry out of an african cichlid chucked them in a bag and given them to friends and they have taken them home and had none or only 1 or 2 die so they're alot more resiliant that people give them credit for.. April 13, 200719 yr comment_156452 It is an example of someone breeding a male to a female without regard to quality and producing a load of rubbish. These wouldbe kull fish to a serious breeder---turtle tucker. Report
April 13, 200719 yr comment_156461 Same seller as in this thread: http://www.fnzas.org.nz/fishroom/advice ... 20343.html Report
April 13, 200719 yr comment_156474 Agree with Alan4304, They are all rubbish or feeder fish. Don't know what he's trying to achieve by putting all those fish together to breed and the word lionchu , give me a break. ron Report
April 13, 200719 yr comment_156479 If they weren't so overpriced I'd definitely buy them to feed to my dats. Report
April 13, 200719 yr Author comment_156480 its kinda like selling 'pedigree mongrels" Just not cricket really Report
April 13, 200719 yr comment_156513 How fast do small goldfish grow? They'd need to be about 4-5cm long to make a good meal for my dat, just over $1 each is cheaper than any feeders I've seen in the shops! Report
