jimbojonesnz
Hey all, To cut a long story short I now have a 120L Coldwater tank with 18 WCMM, 2 comets, blackmoor, shubunkin and calico fantail (Im moving the WCMM out when the goldfish get too big). Anyway i recently go a plant (no idea what sort) as a suggestion from my local pet store in order to use up my store credit. It did well (at least to me) for a week so i got a few more and they all are looking ok except near the base where the leaves are turning yellow and some are falling off. Should i be doing anything extra to help the plants along? Thanks Jimbo

alanmin4304
It could be: A tropical plant in a coldwater tank Not enough light A plant grown emersed that is having trouble living submersed A plant that would do better in a pot on your window ledge. Zoban
www.tropica.com Take a look through the plants and figure out what you've got. Or post a pic and someone here may be able to ID the plant. From there we can figure out a lil more easily what's what and needed etc.

Jo1
It was probably blue Hygrophilia (sp). It is good for cold water tanks and quite usual for bottom leaves to go yellow and drop off. It will probably produce new leaves in their place.
alanmin4304
It is normally grown emersed and will have to adjust to growing submersed.
