You could use a piece of airline and put it over her vent and gently suck, doing what would be a breech birth of a baby that is prolly "U" shaped in her opening. Or if she hasn't had babies for a long time, she could have a calcified obstruction, the airline could clear this too. It's worth the risk if she isn't already dead. Alan 104
  9. Don't know how you travelled your fish, or how many or what species, but if they are in chilly bins, just put a coke bottle of hot water in with them, packed away from the fish by a newspaper, replace lid. Check the air in the bags and if necessary re-do them. Check for any casualties and if there are any. Rebag the remainder in fresh water. Alan 104
  10. I'd go for them being gardneri at that size Alan 104
  11. Burgo, PM Wok and he will fill you in on any details you may need. He is in Mangere. Alan 104
  12. For the bubbles to come up. The air goes down the little pipe across the foot and up the big pipe. As it does that, it pushes the water in the big pipe out, which then makes water suck down thru the gravel and into the underside of the plate that sits flat on the glass, and then it waits for the next bubble. The round blue piece in the last pick on its own may fit inside of the round box filter. Holow side down, then a filter medium goes ontop of that. A handful of gravel maybe. Alan 104
  13. VisNZ that is an Under-gravel filter, the piece in your hand slides into the piece near the top of the pic. Make sure that the fatter of the two pipes is furtherest from the glass, cuts down on the noise. The airline fits onto the smaller of the two pipes. EDIT:- just noticed, you are missing a smaller pipe that fits into that foot thing and that in turn, fits into the airline from the airpump The other is a canister, internal filter. Remove the blue top by twisting it, plug in the power and have a look into the hole on the underside. You should see a thing like a propeller, give it a flick with your finger if it doesn't turn over and start whirring, you are prolly in trouble. Alan 104
  14. Aha. Now I realize what "kig" is. Kigoma. Thanks for telling me. Not Alan 104
  15. My guess is that it will be absolutely heart-broken and stop eating get skinnier and pine away and die. So sad Alan 104
  16. Watch out for those ppl ones. Some don't read the range where we have out tanks. You can get them on TM actually. Another good trick is if you get them from the LFS, get a bunch of them and check their temps, sometimes there is as much as 10o out, look for the average temp and get those. I always test mine with a Dairy thermometer or a Home-brew one. Alan 104
  17. There's prolly more food in the pond environment than in an aquarium. Go for it, they are a good money spinner apparently. Alan 104
  18. No, but I like your dogs tho. Alan 104
