  1. There is phosphate in your tap water, so water changes only adds more.
  2. I think that was the idea Zev. But don't tell toppwill
  3. That did come in 4 or 5 years ago. The German hatchery work with apisto's more then the Asian hatchery so more mutations occur.
  4. Caryl is alway grateful for any articles any time!
  5. If we all write a sentence will you glue it together Caryl ?
  6. Yep, looks like a pair to me as mentioned > marble is male > black is female.
  7. It's called an aged Aquarium
  8. Na, pic's have to be full on side view and no flash in the way  , try again Stu
  9. Sometimes you cam find females with babies, I feed them to my smaller fish and the adults to my King killies. They're an awesome food.
  10. Anyone seen one of these.... http://video.google.com/videosearch?cli ... &ct=title#
  11. This post will do it. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=34941
  12. There are, but they come from Germany and shipments are few and far between.
  13. All Nothobranchius species are rare due to the # of people breeding them. Hopefully this is changing as more people find that annuals killies aren't as hard as they may have though. Guentheri is one of the easier species this is why it's great for people starting out in annual killies. People like to start out with medium to challenging species before getting their feet wet with guentheri. This is possibly why annuals are considered harder then Non - annuals. It's a shame you don't have the room to hatch your own spawnings, I find this part of the hobby really rewarding > you get to spawn the next generation then the next and so on.
  14. Male and female angels also have a different body shape( from the throat to the anal fin) it is clear to see if you have a male and female. Shame you don't have side on pic's
  15. Hi toppwill Well done on spawning them. Do you still have the adults breeding?
  16. No need, this is the part of MY hobby I like the most > seeing others do well with THEIR hobby! You can remove dead eggs, with an air tube as a siphon. You need to get a sponge filter in asap, so it grows with your fry.
  17. Wait until it is dark, then shine a touch acoss the tank while lifting up spawning media. You will see the nymph spiral to the bottom - they're quick so don't blink.
  18.  Thanks Ryan
  19. It normally takes a few hours for them to go white, they should have done that by now so :bounce: :bounce: so far so good.
  20. They will hatch tomorrow and need feeding in 3-4 days. Just add a drip of B/S to begin with(day 3), if you see orange belly's feed a little more. Eggs should be clear, if they all go white they are dead, common for a first spawn. Congrates and good luck

    Notho pig out!

Mine look like that too Zev, same reason > mozzies < :
  22. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, the species you mentioned will have some/full colour by 2cm.
  23. yep, but a drop in temp and change in water chemistry is more important then actual temp you reduce it by 21, 22, 23'ish it's not so important.
