its soounding easier by the minute! went out this morning and found some nice red sponges and stuff which ill have to pick up next dive. ( got acouple of nice crays to diverjohn) Ill have to start setting up i think! cheers guys!
yea i think ill definately do it. i mite even get a couple of crays! then wen i get hungy! hehe. yea i love diving so i want to be able to recreate it in my lounge, i think it should be resonably straight forward. i saw one set up at the mongonui fish shop 5 or 6 years ago and ive always had the idea in the back of my head.
has anyone out there tried a local salt water set up? i wanna give it a go. i assume i would need a chiller not a heater but apart from that what would be different? i dive alot so i have access to rocks and sponges, fish ect.
someone must have tried it. any info would be helpful. i have a 6X4 foot tank that i would use.
mondo will grow underwater for about 6 months or so, and as for putting plants in with their original soil , i wouldnt, with all the stuff we add to our soil it cant be good for fishys. i can get u some libertia from work if u like.
hey dawn Brendan here, how was the beach? if i were u i would remove it, most carex carry a fungus which will turn it all to slime. have major problems with them sometimes at work. ive tried alot of land plants in my tanks even small local mangroves whch look cool!
well not really death but more a funnny story.
I was doin some cleaning in my oscar tank so the lid was off, and my flat mates curious kitty decided to have a look in, needless to say kitty dont go near the oscar tank anymore! my XXL male had a good little suck on her paw to say the least.
