  2. Yip, damn crap...I hate it!
  3. Has anyone come across this before, It is very nice, but rather an agressive form of calcereous algae, (Very purple too). It is very similar to VELCRO.
  4. Personally, I dont think corals are the same as anemones. Anemones have mouths and actually eat, they also have a foot that wanders around. More like an animal to me. But other than that, i dont really give a rats ass, so long as they generally survive it, than i guess it dont matter. I wouldnt do it, just like i wouldnt cut a fish. A coral is simply like a tree. Just a bit of pruning here and there. and Im no wuss, Its just my opinion. Cut away.....
  5. very controversial post there Waspy boy! Some people aint gonna like that! (I dont mind if it actually works. Is one for sale?

Chimera and Wasp. My Briopsis is growing rather fast. My Po4 is not even readable and I had another WS wipeout 2 weeks ago. I have 4 dead fish hiding under rocks and my Po4 and NO3 are completely ZERO. The dead fish are producing NO3, (Through AM), and PO4 and the briopsis is getting it before the water column is registering any extras. When the dead fish matter has been consumed, my algae will slow down. I am estimating another month or so. Algae is a great way to polish the water for SPS.

Nothing wrong with it actually. If algae is thriving, you will generally have very low PO4 as the algae will be consuming it. It just needs pruning to control it.

Briopsis. Im growing some too. Grows fast. Just pluck it out, or you can assist by adding vodka. The vodka will overmultiply the bacteria, which in turn will utilise the nutrients before the briopsis can, which will kill off the briopsis. It works well with all algaes. Picture coming.

  15. Hey every body. If you own a video camera, or have a decent video unit on your digital camera, take a movie of your TANK and use the following: Go to: www.yousendit.com and follow the instructions. They will hold it on their server for 7 days only. You can send HUGE files. Email someone on here and they can post up the link for everyone else to use for download and viewing. IF YOU DONT HAVE HIGHSPEED JETSTREAM, DONT BOTHER!!
